"Texas Steelman"

I know that Junior Knight is one of the finest steel players in Texas, so I sort of expected that this would be a swing album. Not so! For this CD Junior decided to stay on the E9th side of the fence, playing the modern commercial country sound. Some of the tunes are picked right off the radio. This is great country music played by a master of the pedals and levers. There are tons of tricky licks, solos, and melodies on this CD. I can't believe how quick his pedal action is sometimes. And like all great players, Junior makes it sound easy and leaves you wanting more.

"The Cross Says It All"

For this album, Junior picked songs a group of gospel songs that haven't been recorded often. Most of them are unfamiliar as steel guitar instrumentals, but with Junior at the steel they sound like they written with the instrument in mind. In addition to playing most of the instruments, Junior also engineered the project. His touch at the controls gives the entire CD that classic country gospel sound.

In the liner notes, Junior writes:
